Kenny "Scully" McCloud has been making records since the mid-1980s, starting behind the board as a mix engineer and growing into one of the most consistent production names in West Coast hip-hop. His name is on the Bone Thugs-N-Harmony catalog from the Ruthless-era breakthroughs (Creepin On Ah Come Up, Thuggish-Ruggish-Bone) through E. 1999 Eternal — the album that carried "Tha Crossroads" — and on to Thug Stories and Art of War: WW III.
Alongside Bone, his discography runs through Suga Free (Just Add Water, My Dice, Smell My Finger, Mr. P Body), Dru Down, Bizzy Bone, Krayzie Bone, Bad Azz, WC, Killah Priest and Snoop Dogg's Doggumentary, and reaches back to a 1991 engineering credit on Herb Alpert's North On South St. for A&M.
Today he runs production at Blackhole Music Studio and is a PRIAM Artist in Residency, producing for independent artists who want records made by someone who has already made a few hundred of them.

Two players, one band, and thirty-five years of records.
Kenny and D'BREEON (Bryant Michael Davis) met at the University of Wisconsin–Madison and came up playing in the same band — Kenny's band, Onyx, with Franz Z. Kenny moved west and built a room of his own on Rosecrans in Hawthorne: Studio A, Studio B, and Studio C, where bands could rehearse a live act before anyone rolled tape.
D'BREEON followed. From roughly 1991 to 1995 he worked out of Blackhole as an engineer and producer, and Studio A is where he met Eazy-E — who, he'll tell you, was nice to everybody — along with Too $hort and a lot of others coming through. Among them Flex G, then signed to Warner Brothers, who taught him how to work a live crowd. He still won't say how.
They never stopped making records together: Out 4 You with Portia, cut at Kenny's Hollywood location, straight through to Late Night Whisper, due October 2026.
